Francesca Loprieno is an Italian photographer living in Paris. In 2011 his project “Identi-kit” is exhibited at the 54th International Art Exhibition of the “Venice Biennale”. In 2014 she received a grant from the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to carry out a theoretical research on her artistic practice in relation to the didactics and pedagogy of images in collaboration with the IHEAP of Paris. She participates in numerous group and personal exhibitions in galleries and institutions both in Italy and abroad. In 2018 she won the Fondazione Primoli Prize in Rome with her work «471» for the promotion of literary and artistic culture between Italy and France.
After a Master in Phenomenology of Contemporary Art at the Academy of Fine Arts of Rome, she studied photography and video in France at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs (ENSAD) of Paris and the Didactique des images at the Sorbonne Nouvelle University of Paris. Together with the photographer Arianna Sanesi she formed the duo «Esprit de l’Escalier». “Sibilla” is the first artistic research they undertake together.
